Dr. Alexander is featured on the closing plenary panel at the 26th Nursing Network on Violence Against Women International (NNVAWI) Conference, a global gathering of researchers, clinicians, advocates, and community leaders advancing innovation in gender-based violence prevention and response. The 2025 conference runs October 6–8, 2025, with the closing plenary on Wednesday, October 8.

Our conversation—“Hope in Action: Global Perspectives on the Future of Violence Prevention”—will explore evidence-based strategies, cross-sector partnerships, and community-led approaches that are shaping the next decade of prevention, policy, and practice.

In addition, the Thread Research Lab’s own Gloria Mpundu will be presenting her work, “Examining the Association between Psychological Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Risk Behaviors among Women: A Scoping Review.”
